Nice rievew. That’s a pretty good assessment of what went down last Friday. I didn’t like the Eel, Blood, Egg as much as you did. The eel was great but the rest was bland and overpowered by the scallion scaterred on top. I found most everything to be underseaoned. The tartare by itself would have been much better than in that sandwich. The dessert was a big failure in my opinion. I love offal, and I love to be challenged as a diner, but that dessert didn’t do anything for me.I guess that, having eaten in the bar section, you weren’t privy to the show going on in the dining room. All the VIP dishes, the showy service, the oohing and ahing and the camera flashes. It got really annyoing after a while. It didn’t help that the VIP dishes looked so much better than what we were having.Then I started thinking about how my bill was subsidizing this insiders’ party and that ruined my mood.
