Like a buzzsaw on granite. Hailing for the Granite State, Bravo Fucking Bravo has emerged from the New England hardcore/punk with the fury of heavy machinery and TNT blasting and shearing away slabs of rock from a quarry. The New Hampshire five-piece grinds out screamo tinged raw-punk with a whole lotta rock-n-roll swagger and good old fashion sarcasm on itUs latest release, "II" - The first for seminal New York state hardcore label, Alone Records. Another Fateful Voyage after a brief respite following the release of the debut, Self-Titled EP on abstr.act records (France) and Friends Forever Records (Texas), Bravo Fucking Bravo are back, with a larger offering of driving, boulder crushing pieces, guaranteed to leave the faint hearted looking for three Tylenol and a stiff drink. The project evolved from a more chaotic and frenetic sound on its previous effort, leaning toward a steadier, yet just as ruthless attack on the auditory system. Bravo Fucking Bravo "II" retains the raw, shot gun approach power of the first EP, but packages it into a more concentrated blast of sonic artillery. Still swimmingI not sinking in support of their new Alone Records release, Bravo Fucking Bravo will continue gigging on the East Coast, before setting out across North America in 2006 with a possible return trip to Europe. What one critic wroteI "Quite powerful, quite screamo, quite fast and short and still under control." (Collective Zine P UK)

The Trouble We're In, the debut full length from Milwaukee's Call Me Lightning, blends spastic guitars with driving no wave rhythms. Call Me Lightning's sound brings together the more frantic moments of The Talking Heads' early days with the freak-out riffs and wild vocal style of The Jesus Lizard. Throw in some lyric styling reminicent of The Minutemen and you have a powerful combination. First pressing limited to 300 copies on black vinyl with beautiful silk-screened covers.

Carrier's six song debut LP is awash with melody, urgency, and upbeat guitar lines not unlike Modest Mouse, Built To Spill, and others in that avenue. Featuring Hrishikesh Hirway of The One Am Radio on drums, Carrier mingle artful indie rock and dub influences, with echoes of Animal Collective and The Talking Heads floating somewhere in the background. All the things that take most bands of this genre three or four releases to acomplish are layed out in these six songs. This is the vinyl version of the CD released on Electric Human Project, limited to 500 copies on white vinyl.

The 2nd album by this band from Hamburg/Germany, following their self-released debut LP "Au Revoir Tristesse", and the recent "Ken & Barbie/Superfriends" 7"single on X-Mist. The guys have put a lot of efforts into finishing these recordings - and wow, it was worth all the wait, since now they ROCK like nothing else! ENIAC's sound is better than ever before, still full-on energetic and kicking as on their first LP, but with more though-out production and filled with catchy hooks! Those who had the pleasure to experience them live lately, will know anyway. And if you need comparisons then let's put it like this: Imagine the driving energy of KURT paired with the rocking punch of the POPULAR SHAPES meeting the songwriting-qualities of bands like LES SAVY FAV - what more could you ask for? FILE UNDER: Hard Rocking Art-Punk FOR FANS OF: LES SAVY FAV, KURT, POPULAR SHAPES, JESUS LIZARD

Jesse F. Keeler, ex-drummer for the now defunct infamous new wave band, Black Cat #13, and current bass player for the super-duo, Death >From Above, dives heart-first into his first solo project. This LP is dark and heavy, not the kind of heavy that relies on down tuned guitars and tones so distorted they become the sound of air, but a REAL heavy. Heavy like a car accident, or the black underbelly of an urban landscape.
